I was born and raised in a small town in former East Germany. After the fall of the wall, I packed two suitcases and set off to conquer America. I have lived in the Washington, D.C. area ever since, putting myself through college and working full-time. One of my greatest achievements was working for the city of Berlin promoting tourism as the official representative in North America. The job allowed me to travel all over the United States, Canada and Europe. Following that, I worked at the Foreign News desk of the Washington Post before becoming the Vice President for Business Development here at AveryHess, Realtors®.
In my role, I oversee several revenue departments for AveryHess and serve as a point-of-contact to all of the agents and staff. My responsibilities include: overseeing the Property Management Department, managing the e-lead Division, building vendor relations, and general business development. As an experienced investment property owner myself, I understand the value of a competent management company and their people to owners and tenants alike.
I have been serving on the Standard Forms Committee at the Northern Virginia Realtor® Board since 2013 and graduated from the NVAR Leadership Institute in 2012.
Outside of work, I love to travel and have spent significant time in the southwest of the United States where I enjoy hiking, camping, exploring and enjoying local art. I’m a former ballet dancer and rock climber who runs daily with my dog to release from the workday.
I am a firm believer in achieving goals, day dreaming and being yourself!
